Elaine and her husband, John, raised four children in the West Chester Area School District.   Emily, a fraternal twin, was born with Down syndrome in 1997.  She currently is working at Baker Industries in Malvern performing light industrial tasks and at Kati Mac Floral Designs in West Chester as a floral assistant. Emily participates in a variety of opportunities at West Chester University including Best Buddies and Council for Exceptional Children, various Special Olympics sports, especially, bowling, Downingtown Dominators All Inclusive Cheer Team, and a weekly Bible Study. Emily serves on 3 boards; CEC, Best Buddies and the CCDSIG!

Elaine founded the CCDSIG when Emily was born to reach out to others who were also navigating the new adventures of the Down syndrome world. She also founded Kati Mac Education Foundation with colleague and CCDSIG member, Colleen Brennan, to create a loving environment for individuals with IDD to learn, work and grow.
